After mastering Provençal Rosé, Cédric Bourez along with his family started the quest for a characterful estate. One with a natural richness of terroir with a diverse soil profile. They fell in love with Anjou, with incredible old plots of Chenin Blanc, in the best orientation, facing the Layon river. The vines are rooted in volcanic rock called “Spilite” giving the wines soul and elegant nuances.
Chardonnay may be Burgundy's superstar but take note of the revival of Aligoté. It's often under-appreciated and can therefore provide incredible value from even the top producers. Romaric's wines have long been at the core of Roberson's range and his status grows year on year. 'Les Maréchaux', located in Meursault is a new parcel of Aligoté recently acquired by the Domaine after the 'Petits Poiriers' vines were replaced.

An amazing bargain (better than many Puligny-Montrachets costing double) Les Femelottes is a rounded, expressive wine of exceptional flavour and class.
"From a high-terraced slope above the Isère valley, Roussanne grown here gives a consistently fine, rich and complex wine. Honeyed and stony on the nose, it tastes unctuous, yet with balancing acidity and hints of apricot and saline character towards the finish. A lovely wine, which will develop more complexity with age." Wink Lorch, decanter.com, 94 pts
This Sancerre is one of the top offerings from Morin using fruit from one of the best areas in the whole of Sancerre; a delicious zesty wine with great minerality.
The south-east facing vineyards are surrounded by indigenous flora such as; shrubs, trees and plants that thrive in the wild garrigue: rosemary, bay, thyme, broom, oak, pine…
"The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc Les Femelottes has a light, fragrant nose with yellow plum and citrus peel. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, the 10% new oak lending a very subtle creaminess towards the finish. Everything you want from a Bourgogne Blanc...and a bit more." A 75cl bottle of Bourgogne Blanc Les Saussots 2020 by Domaine Chavy-Chouet. A white wine from the Burgundy region of France. Made from Chardonnay.
A wonderful, powerful and complete example of a Rousanne. This wine is a perfect accompaniment at every stage of a meal, from starter through to dessert. A great value wine to add to the collection!
"Full-bodied, really intensely flavoured, zesty and intense. There's some citrus peel notes that mingle with the violet and juicy satsuma fruit. Great freshness and intensity, this is a Condrieu in all but name. It has remarkable finesse for an IGP – look beyond this relatively lowly classification, the quality is excellent." Matt Walls, decanter.com, 92 pts
A 75cl bottle of IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Brocélandie Viognier 2021 by Domaine Francois Merlin. A white wine from Northern Rhône in the Rhône region of France. Made from Viognier.
"From a Bué estate that's currently converting to organics, the 2019 Sancerre Chêne Marchand is unfiltered. It exhibits a real sense of weight on the palate, roundness and seamlessness. It does not exhibit the zesty aromatics that Sauvignon Blanc is known for; instead, there's baked apples and dried fruit, though these ripe characteristics are followed by mouth watering acidity." Rebecca Gibb MW, vinous.com, 90 pts
"Well balanced and fresh, with pear-like acidity, it's mild but feels naturally balanced. Soft, succulent pear fruit comes through, it has more concentration than most this year. Aged in concrete egg and demi-muid." Matt Walls, decanter.com, 91 pts
Domaine Guerrin & Fils was established in 1926 with a total of 14 Ha under vine spread across 35 small limestone plots. This patchwork of plots allow for the wines to highlight the diversity of the terroir, giving each wine a distinct and unique character. The vineyard of Les Crays is set on the steep south-facing slopes of the Roche de Vergisson, with limestone predominant soil. The 45 year old low yielding vines create a wines that is delicate, whilst still remaining both full-bodied with a well balanced acidity, and a well defined minerality.
When we tasted this wine blind we couldn't believe the price - it tastes like white Burgundy that cost three times as much. This Bourgogne Chardonnay comes from two plots of vines in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet. Crisp with wonderful citrus and ripe stone fruits, rounded with great minerality and genuine terroir definition, the wine is vibrant and fresh. Just brilliant.
Veuve Borodin is Roberson's house Champagne. Praised by the critics and loved by us, it offers some of the best value you'll find anywhere at this price.

A taut and mineral Bourgogne Blanc, displaying ripe green fruit and a subtle toasty note. One of two cuvées produced by the master of Meursault, Patrick Javillier.
"Appealing, crisp, apple-fruit driven premier cru with stony, flinty character on the finish, together with a touch of smoky reduction. Certainly not the ripest expression but there is no shortage of minerality and drive here, so will appeal to classical Chablis fans." Andy Howard MW, decanter.com, 91 pts
