CHATEAU MUSAR WHITE 2009
CHATEAU MUSAR

Musar's red is the better known wine, but their white is equally distinctive and long-lived. A blend of ancient Lebanese grape varieties, it undergoes a complex ageing process before release that makes it truly unique.

  • Dry, subtly oaky; citrus flavours with honey notes; wholly unique, oxidative style.
  • A blend of ancient grape varieties Obaideh and Merwah, indigenous to the mountains of Lebanon.
  • After a long fermentation in oak, Musar White is aged at the winery to be released seven years after harvest.
  • Can age for a very long time, but is usually at its best with around 7-10 years of age.
  • A good match for pâte, rillettes, seafood dishes and spicy vegetable tempura.
