“Pale purple. Smoky blackberry, with a slightly funky edge. Lively acidity, some rocky mineral, ripe blackberry fruit and an almost chocolate flavour. Peppery, fairly light tannins and juicy, medium-long finish.”
“The 2018 Cinsault, which comes from 28-year-old vines, has a very fragrant bouquet of rose petal and subtle lavender aromas beautifully integrated with the red fruit. With aeration, discreet peppermint scents emerge. The medium-bodied palate is light, nimble, and fresh thanks to the killer bead of acidity. Almost Pinot-like toward the finish, but earthier and spicier in style. This is a superb Cinsault from Mick Craven.”
