EAGLE POINT RANCH COUNOISE 2016
BROC CELLARS

An extremely unusual and utterly delicious red made in California by Chris Brockway from traditional Rhone Valley grape variety Counoise - commonly used as a blending ingredient in Chateaneuf-du-Pape.

  • Intense aromas of dark, spicy fruit, leather, wild herbs and fennel.
  • Weighty and expansive on the palate, with ripe black berries and rustic tannins.
  • Chris originally planned to make a blend with this wine, but it was so delicious, he bottled it by itself.
  • Drink up to 10 years after release.
  • Match with wild boar sausage ragu pasta, Tuna nicoise, or a portobello mushroom burger.
