“Beaujolais is definitely one of the most underrated region in France. This is undoubtedly due to the vast amount of garbage that is produced in the region every year. This Morgon is made by one of the great of the appellation and proves why we should drink more of the (good) stuff. Wonderfully approachable and light on the palate, it works really well with a vast range of food and being Morgon you have a gentle savoury note as well.”
“Deep, youthful purple with lifted aromas of kirsch-soaked cherries and stony, mineral notes and, on the palate, intense, spicy, cherry fruit, a soothingly supple mid palate and a well-defined, fresh, stony finish. A good advertisement for the 'natural wine' movement.' ”
“Juicy and fresh with bags of ripe red cherry fruit. But there's a serious side to this wine too, with its smooth texture and mineral-rich mid-palate.”
