VINHO VERDE TINTO 2010
Vinho Verde in Portugal is mostly known for its fresh, aromatic, low alcohol whites, but they also produce great reds! Like this one! Made from the Vinhao grape, which could be compared to a fresher style of Malbec. This red Vinho verde has great complexity and aromatics.
- Sour cherry, dark plums and peony aromas on the nose.
- Plenty of juicy plums and damson fruit, layered with violet notes and a peppery finish.
- Reds from Vinho Verde have low alcohol and high, refreshing acidity.
- Drinks well now.
- Pairs well with grilled sardines, the wine will complement the charred flavours beautifully.
