VINHO VERDE TINTO 2010
Vinho Verde in Portugal is mostly known for delicate, low alcohol whites, but they also produce great reds! Made from the Vinhao grape, this could be compared to a fresher style of Malbec, combined with lighter body and a delicate spritz. Sound weird? It is! But it's also completely delicious.
- Sour cherry, dark plums and peony aromas on the nose.
- Plenty of juicy plums and damson fruit, layered with violet notes and a peppery finish.
- A light spritz on the palate and refreshing acidity mean this is delicious served chilled.
- Drinks well now.
- Pairs well with grilled sardines, the wine will complement the charred flavours beautifully.
