Brut Océan is a bone dry, hand-harvested Jurançon Sec cuvée of 100% Gros Manseng, a main local varietal from the Jurançon appellation near the town of Pau in the extreme south-west of France. A superb alternative to Picpoul.

A delicious Syrah/Grenache blend from Costières de Nîmes in the southern Rhone. Les Vignerons d'Estezargues is a celebrated cooperative in the south of France, which specialises in organically grown wines that showcase each individual property that is part of the coop. A very appropriately named wine, this is pretty well nearly Pouilly-Fumé. But back when the AOC was created, the previous landowners chose not to pay for all of their land to be classified. The vines used for this cuvée are actually directly adjacent to those that go towards Pouilly-Fumé production giving us an almost identical wine but a fraction of the price! A brilliant buy.
A deliciously pure, fruity southern Rhône blend of Roussanne and Viognier, Plein Sud is characterful, fresh and elegant.
This wine from Château des Pertonniere shows Beaujolais at its best; it is in a different league to the everyday Beaujolais found all over the supermarkets - try it to see why!
Château Lafon is in the best location in Sauternes. Metres from Château d'Yquem and surrounded on all sides by Yquem vineyards, this has to be one of the most underpriced wines in the world.
Minervois is a very reliable source of great value red, and Château Mignan are perhaps the best producer in the area. This is beautifully-made and delicious, at a great price.
From the very heart of the Loire Valley, Quincy is lean and herbaceous similar in style to Sancerre. Domaine Adéle Rouzé has 5.5 hectares of Sauvignon vines making wines exactly as the region dictates - a lovely wine very much of a place.
How J. Laurens continue to make this incredible Crémant for such a low price is a total mystery. It's made in the same painstaking traditional way as Champagne, from the domaine's best parcels of vines - and tastes better than many Champagnes we've tried at double the price.
