"Pale garnet in colour and gorgeously perfumed with blossoms and watermelon, this crisp, blackberry-flavoured rosé juxtaposes zesty black fruit flavours against a deep, penetrating undertone of crushed stone and spice. A stately expression of Tavel that's likely to drink beautifully year-round and for at least another vintage or two to come." Anna Lee C. Iijima, Wine Enthusiast, 93 pts

To the north of Montpellier, in the foothills of the Cevennes Mountains, with some of the highest altitude vineyards in the Languedoc is the Terrasses du Larzac AOC. This fledgling appellation, created in 2005, is strictly reserved to red wines, where Southern French staples Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault & Carignan are grown to produce deep coloured, full bodied, fruit forward wines. Mas des Brousses's expression is unique and not quite like any other we've tried. A perfect balance between Mediterranean warmth with the freshness of Larzac makes for a wonderful Autumnal wine.

"From a Bué estate that's currently converting to organics, the 2019 Sancerre Chêne Marchand is unfiltered. It exhibits a real sense of weight on the palate, roundness and seamlessness. It does not exhibit the zesty aromatics that Sauvignon Blanc is known for; instead, there's baked apples and dried fruit, though these ripe characteristics are followed by mouth watering acidity." Rebecca Gibb MW, vinous.com, 90 pts
"Well balanced and fresh, with pear-like acidity, it's mild but feels naturally balanced. Soft, succulent pear fruit comes through, it has more concentration than most this year. Aged in concrete egg and demi-muid." Matt Walls, decanter.com, 91 pts

"The 2020 Syrah (Santa Barbara County) is terrific. Rich and pliant, with notable fruit presence, the 2020 hits all the right notes. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, spice and licorice all meld together. The purity of the fruit and pedigree are remarkable at this level. The 2020 offers terrific depth and intensity, yet remains light on its feet. Best of all, it should be a screaming value. Vineyard sites are John Sebastiano, Rim Rock and Bien Nacido." 94 pts, Erin Brooks, The Wine Advocate "The 2021 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills is the first vintage of Chardonnay from Donnachadh. It was barrel fermented and matured for around 10 months. Its aromas combine bright herbal, green apple and pear tones with underlying savory hints. The light-bodied palate is bright and fresh, yet offers a touch of anchoring creaminess that draws out the finish."
95 pts, Erin Brooks, The Wine Advocate "The 2021 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills, matured for 10 months in neutral oak, is the first appellation-wide Pinot from Donnachadh. Like the Chardonnay, this vintage was sourced entirely from the Donnachadh estate, although that may not be the case in the future. It has a pale ruby color and very pure, fragrant scents of cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, bergamot, tea leaves and herbs. The medium-bodied palate is finely chalky and wonderfully fresh, boasting concentrated red berry flavors, fine citrusy accents and a long, ethereal finish. This really stands out for its detail and expression—it's as if the volume was turned up yet the definition preserved."
Made from vineyard fruit of the Domaine de la Côte's estate, this Pinot delivers on every level, and takes you way beyond what one would reasonably expect from an appellation wine. With notes of black cherry, lavender and layered spice, on the palate savoury earthiness develops, while a subtle green stalk coarseness cuts pleasantly through the fruit, adding beautiful texture and completing a complex and elegant wine.
