Produced from the single vineyard, 'Hermanschachern', which mirrors the soils of Chablis; rich in ancient fossils and oyster shells. Once the pride of Savoie, the Bergeron grape, known elsewhere as Roussanne, suffered a decline into obscurity after a phylloxera outbreak. But its story didn't end there. Revived in the 1970s by the passionate André Quenard, who saw its potential, Bergeron was nurtured back to prominence on the steep limestone slopes of Savoie. Here, the grape's full ripeness was achieved, allowing its unique qualities to shine. Les Roches Blanches, a medium-bodied white, encapsulates this remarkable revival. Unlike anything from its Rhône cousins, it offers a racy yet flavourful experience with notes of peaches, honey, and pine resin. Its cooler, alpine climate adds a refreshing twist, making it a must-try for those looking to explore a wine with a true comeback story.

In the VdF Tinus Grand Blanc 2016, Jean-Marie Guffens, celebrated for his groundbreaking work in Burgundy, showcases his expertise with the Lubéron region's unique terroir. This Chardonnay, aged for five years before release, is sourced from the Plateau de l’Aigle, a limestone-rich plateau. The Langhe Nebbiolo is the finest and most elegant expression of this grape variety. An intense and slender colour, at the same time it anticipates a structure and a tannin that are typical of Nebbiolo.
Rare varieties that you don't often see are found in this unique blend. Trousseau Noir, Cabernet Pfeffer, Valdiguié and Gamay. Cabernet Pfeffer is planted in small quantities around California. Cab Pfeffer contributes a brightness to the wine with fresh red fruit. Along with a gorgeous underlying spice.
