Here the climate is cooler due to the maritime influence compared to regions like the Barossa Valley.  This makes way to more European varietals such as Riesling, Sangiovese and Viognier. There is also a new wave movement that is seeing the younger generation exploring lighter iterations of Grenache and Shiraz.
