Boekenhoutskloof was established in 1776 and is now run by legendary South African winemaker Mark Kent. The brilliance of its wines has never been in doubt. A winemaker whose ethos is rooted in French non-interventionist thinking, natural yeasts, minimal racking and impeccable vineyard work, Mark's meaty, complex Syrah is perhaps his most famous wine, but his other wines are equally remarkable. From the waxy, Graves-esque Semillon, to the powerful Cabernet and the sensational Chocolate Block, these wines are hard to find and quantities are miniscule.
