D’Angludet has long been the quintessential ‘insiders’ Bordeaux, a wine that drinks like a third or fourth growth yet still available for a reasonable price. This is due, in large part to the efforts of Peter Sichel who took this Chateau from obscurity in the fifties to widespread recognition in the early eighties. The 2000 and 2005 are recent stars but look out for the 1997, a standout wine in this mediocre vintage.
