Chateau Falfas has been described as the ‘glory of the region of the Bourg.’ The estate is situated on a hillside, with 50 acres of vineyard dedicated to the noble growths of Bordeaux: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a small amount of Malbec. In the fifteenth century the wines were exported to the royal courts, and today winemaker Véronique Cochran works to build on this historic reputation and prestige. Since 1989, the vineyards have been farmed biodynamically, with limited yields and a rigorous selection process to make sure the wines reflect the terroir of Bordeaux.
