Jacques Seysses was not from a winemaking family, but luckily for him he was from a very rich family! After his father sold his biscuit company to a multinational, the Seysses family decided to capitalise on the success that Jacques had while working at the Domaine de la Pousse d’Or and start a Burgundy domaine.

Domaine Dujac began from the purchase of Domaine Marcel Graillet in Morey-St-Denis, and since the first vintage in 1968 it has gone on to establish itself as one of Burgundy’s finest. So called because it was nicknamed the Domaine du Jacques (shortened to Dujac) and it stuck, today it is run by Jeremy Seysses, Jacques’ son.
