In 1896, Ott, an Alsatian agriculturalist with a pioneer spirit, set out to create a wine-producing estate.

The first attempts were in the region of Cavalaire. It was in 1912, however, at Château de Selle, Le Clos Mireille, and later at Château Romassan, also located in the Var, that this great family venture was ultimately launched, after years of patience, hard work and perseverance. The cultivation principles, inspired by a profound respect for nature, are uncompromising. Fortunately, the land rewarded this respect by giving great vines that made outstanding quality wines. As early as 1930, the "Coeur de Grain" rosé made its way over the border. And today, the elegant, prestigious vintages produced by Domaines Ott can be found in the finest dining establishments the world over.
