Part of a consortium of wine estates overseen by leading Italian winemaker Gianfranco Cordero, Rizieri has a stunningly beautiful position in the rolling hills of Diano d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe.

From the beginning, the growth of Arturo and Barbara's Rizieri winery went hand in hand with a commitment to environmental sustainability. They only use composted cow manure to fertilise the vineyards and abolished the use of herbicides. In between rows, they sowed barley and legumes to contrast the growth of weed and to guarantee nutrient-rich soil for the vines through the green manure technique.

Once in the cellar, as in the vineyard, Rizieri's winemaking team minimise their intervention, so that each wine freely expresses its character and personality, as well as reflecting the original grape and terroir. They use a combination of traditional and modern wine-making techniques. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. As a result, the wines across the range offer pure, ripe fruit, velvety structure and intense terroir character.
