Founded in 1985 Cloudy Bay became an iconic producer through its pungent, nettle-sharp Sauvignon Blanc. Since then, quality has been sky-high as it has had to be with the influx of high-quality competitors. Winemaker Kevin Judd has introduced a barrel-fermented Sauvignon ‘Te Koko’ as well as further varietals to enhance the diversity of the offerings but it is still the Sauvignon Blanc that sells out within a few weeks of the vintage.
