Costers del Sió is a stunning new winery located in the dry, rugged and hilly wine growing area of Costers del Segre, in Spain's Catalonia region.

Boasting one of the most modern and well-equipped wineries we've ever visited, Costers del Sió is part of a wave of internationally-focused and design-conscious young Catalan wine projects; less paella and flamenco, much more Barcelona style and chic.

Planted with a mix of local and international grape varieties on thin, low-quality soils, the vines are forced to push their roots deep into the bedrock in search of nutrients. This produces naturally low yields of high-quality, intensely flavoured fruit and creates a great deal of mineral complexity in the fabulously well-priced wines.
