Stunning Grüner Veltliner made by one of the country's best producers, this is concentrated, finely structured stuff that really shows what this grape is capable of in the right hands. If you haven't tried it yet, wait no longer.
The 'Sauberg' Grüner Veltilner is particularly special. In this site, gravelly soils meet with the loam of the neighboring Ried Bürsting with vines dating back to the beginning of the 1960s. Sauberg is a wine that dances delicately between minerality and structure. Firm but quite juicy, with a fine overlay of spices and magnificent complexity, there is a salty character to its presence in the glass, as well as an electric finish.
