Le Clos Galerne is the creation of idealists, a winemaking family who relocated here to search out the best terroirs and make their own wine. • This wine displays energy and complexity from the get go! Notes of ripe fruit are given structure due to the oak aging. There is welcomed herbal backbone of dried sage which beautifully compliments the chalky mouthfeel. The acidity, sweetness and spice all seem to work together as one, but remain identifiable in their own right.

  • The average vine age is 40 years old.
  • Fruit is delicately hand harvested and fermented using indigenous yeasts found naturally on the skins of the grapes. Comprised of 95% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • Drinking window 2022 - 2028.
  • Would pair beautifully with chargrilled skirt steak and spring onion thecha.
