Provenance is paramount to Torbreck, who have set out their stall to make the best Rhone style wines in the Barossa Valley. Sourcing fruit from the regions best vineyards, their wines have unique concentration, structure and longevity. This cuvée is a perfect introduction to the house style - a blend of old vine Grenache, Mourvèdre and Shiraz sourced from unique sites that make up the rich vinous heritage of the Barossa Valley. A combination of terroirs contribute to the complexity of this wine.

Old Vines GSM 2018
  • Beautiful, enticing crimson red in the glass.
  • Lifted red fruit aromas from the Grenache are perfectly counterbalanced by the smoky, herbal and savoury tones from the Syrah & Mourvèdre.
  • Flavours of plush cherry and tangy pomegranate are complemented by velvety tannins with a long finish.
  • Pleasant smoky, earthy tones from 24 months in well-seasoned French oak barrel add to the wines complexity.
  • Vineyard plantings in the Barossa Valley go back to the 1840's and the region is home to some of the oldest vines that can be found in the world today.
  • Barossa Valley has become synonymous with traditional Rhône varietals, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and  Viognier which thrive in the gentle 'Mediterranean' climate.
  • Great with a roasted rack of lamb.
