On the nose, notes of ripe citrus and stone fruits. On the palate, a delightful freshness is nicely accompanied by a zingy acidity.
This entry-level Trocken Riesling is a mix of estate and purchased grapes, all of which are organic.
The terroir of the Bechtheim region is very distinct and enjoys an unmistakable microclimate. The estate's aim is to ensure this translates into each bottle.
Best enjoyed upon release.
We recommend trying this alongside cured salmon or a spicy Thai noodle salad.
Certified organic, dry single vineyard Riesling from one of the premium vineyard sites of Rheinhessen. The wine is vinified and aged in 100% stainless steel, but with 20 hours of destemmed maceration and gentle pressing, which imparts a richness of mouthfeel to an aromatic food friendly wine.
Founded in 1833 by pharmacist and inventor Friedrick Koch - the winery has vineyards in some of the highest classified slopes above Oppenheim and Dienheim. This half-dry Riesling is made from old vines located on the boarder between the two towns.
Similar to Grand Cru sites in Burgundy, Grosses Gewächs is a mark of quality; a mark of one of the best producers, from one of the best sites making dry wines. This is a real beauty, super fresh, a nice spiciness, slightly salty and a steely acidity.
