The picture-perfect rose clad fortress of Château Lamothe-Bouscaut near Cadaujac in Pessac-Léognan sits proudly surrounded by 12 hectares of vineyard on gravel soils close to the Garonne River. Sophie Lurton and her husband Laurent Cogombles bought the estate in 1999 but she and her family had been farming the land since 1945.

Pessac-Léognan Blanc 2018
  • Lively, opalescent wine with a beautifully perfumed nose. Notes of stone fruits and elderflower, with a silky mouthfeel and refreshing notes of citrus like grapefruit zest.
  • The Château is one of only 6 properties to be ranked Grand Cru Classé for both its red and white wines.
  • A mere 6000 bottles of white wine are produced from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc on a single hectare plot.
  • Drinks beautifully now.
  • Try with a grilled chicken salad.
