The 'R de Ruinart' Brut NV is where the care, talent and skill of the cellar master all combine. This really is the centrepiece in the collection of the oldest established Champagne house.
A vibrant, clear yellow robe with glints of gold. At first the nose is delicate, fresh and fruity, filled with white-fleshed fruits like pears and apricots, as well as hazelnuts and fresh almonds. Several floral and spicy notes add an extra hint of complexity. Finishes fresh with the characteristic freshness of the chardonnay which makes up most of the blend.
Produced using Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
R de Ruinart Brut NV is made primarily from grapes sourced in the Premier Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.
"Good-value Champagnes are hard to find, so don’t miss out on this cuvée from a micronégociant that specialises in small quantity and value. Green apple fruit with lemon intensity, and crisp acidity on a complex palate. It’s an elegant and light style of fizz that will make an excellent aperitif." Christelle Guibert, decanter.com, 89pts
Situated in the Côte des Bars in the south of the Champagne region, Maison Dosnon has produced this full-bodied Champagne of great complexity and power; an exceptional bubbly without the Grande Marque price tag.
