Pale yellow in color, the nose offers up notes of citrus confit, pear and honey with an exotic edge. In the mouth, the wine seems initially warm and rich with dried fruit and nuts in abundance. These give way to a crisp structure with nice mineral notes and just a hint of sweetness on the back end.
These are some of the greatest terroir in the region of Saumur in the Loire Valley that are rooted to the clay and limestone soils and tempered by Atlantic breezes, warmer winters and cooler summers.
This estate comprises 14 hectares of Cabernet Franc and one hectare of Chenin Blanc planted along the gentle slopes and hillsides of Saumur, Dampierre, Chacé, Varrains and Champigny.

A perfectly aged, 100% Cabernet Franc. "La Chaintrée", comes from the best selection of plots and after prolonged maceration, is aged for 24 months in aged barrels.

Her ‘Lizieres’ Saumur rouge is a wonderful example of how this time and effort has paid off. Made from sustainably grown Cabernet Franc, this wine is bursting with black and red fruit, with a lovely crunchy texture.
