A relatively new champagne from this small producer, the Récolte Blanche is an elegant addition to the Dosnon collection.
92/100 - The NV Récolte Blanche is pure Chardonnay from the Côte des Bar. Dosed as Brut (four grams per liter), this oak-fermented Blanc de Blancs has a bright but intense citrus-fresh color and opens with a clear, bright and refreshing yet slightly oaky bouquet of ripe, well-concentrated white and yellow-fleshed fruits. Terribly fresh and elegant on the palate, the wine develops intense and juicy but firmly structured fruit with serious but fine tannins and a long, complex finish. This is another full-bodied, intense and vinous Champagne from Davy Dosnon. It is still young, though. Try it with richer fish dishes, white meat or cheese. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate
Golden colour with citrus and floral aromas; vinous style with a mineral freshness.
Made from 100% Chardonnay and vinified in old Puligny- Montrachet barrels.
A very low dosage (amount of sugar) is added to ensure that it does not change the character of the wine.
Ready to drink now, but if you are patient it will mature nicely over the next five years.
So elegant it's best enjoyed by itself.
