Domaine Verret

Domaine Verret is a family-run estate in the north of Burgundy, overseen by the dedicated Bruno Verret. Spanning 65 hectares across Saint Bris, Irancy, and Chablis, the estate has been in the Verret family for over 250 years, and is a major landholder in the Irancy appellation.

Bruno, despite initially having a disinterest in wine, found his passion while studying in Bordeaux and subsequently took the reins of the family estate in 1995. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in its development, guiding it with a firm but thoughtful hand.

The estate is committed to a natural approach to viticulture, balancing traditional and modern techniques to optimise quality. This commitment is evident in the diversity of grape varieties cultivated, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté, Gamay, César, Sacy, and Sauvignon Blanc. Notably, Bruno has implemented a strategy of harvesting the Sauvignon grapes last, to develop more complex aromas and a rounder character in the resulting wine.

Today, Domaine Verret produces 22 different wines, each carefully crafted to reflect the unique terroir of its origin. The estate continues to honoUr its legacy while embracing innovation, ensuring a bright future for the next generation.
