Kistler Sonoma Coast Les Noisetiers Chardonnay 2024

Based in Sonoma County, Kistler Vineyards was established in 1978 by Mark Bixler and Steve Kistler, with a vision to produce exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. They have a portfolio of ten vineyard-designated Chardonnay wines and four vineyard-designated Pinot Noir wines which represent some of California's finest expressions of these Burgundian varieties.

The fruit for this cuvée is grown on the sandy, Goldridge soils where the Russian River and Sonoma Coast overlap, primarily in the Vine Hill, Trenton Roadhouse, Dutton Ranch and Laguna Ridge vineyards. This is a great introduction to Kistler's outstanding Chardonnay bottlings.

92/100 - The 2024 Chardonnay Les Noisetiers is a total delight. Aromatic and light on its feet, yet also quite expansive, the 2024 has a lot to offer. 17/20 - Very pale gold. Inviting savoury first impression, neither oaky nor purely fruity, but deep and rich, opening up to a leesy citrus-cream aroma. Excellent balance between fruit and oak with the oak spice and mealy texture in full harmony with ripe but fresh citrus and peach. Rounded in the mouth, medium-bodied and satisfyingly long with a rewarding freshness on the long, gently oaky finish. - Julia Harding MW
