This is a top Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the most influential women in wine, using only the fruit from a single vineyard. This is one of the last old Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in the Napa Valley. Its scraggly clusters of tiny berries yield extremely limited quantities of dark, concentrated and aromatic single-vineyard wine that speaks eloquently of place. This is simply superb.
Cathy Corison is undoubtedly one of the most influential winemakers in Napa Valley. With a hands-off approach to winemaking, she lets the wine do all the talking. This winery holds a well-deserved reputation for producing some of the best cabernet sauvignons that represent the heart of the iconic Napa Valley.

98/100 - Very clearly on of the wines of the vintage. One of the things I love about the 2019 is the way it conveys power and density, but without weight. In that sense, it is perhaps atypical for Napa Cabernets in this vintage. Even so, I find the sense of beauty here absolutely beguiling. The 2019 Kronos is an absolutely stunning wine. I could describe the aromas and flavors, but that seems pretty banal for a wine that is so clearly towering in its splendor. Don't miss it! - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

18/20 - Mid purplish crimson. Rather an ethereally ripe nose with wonderful refreshment on the end and so much fruit that it almost obliterates the not inconsiderable tannin structure. Cedar/cigar-boc notes. Real energy and life to this wine! It's tempting to drink this straight away because it has so much charm but you know it would make sense to wait awhile. Super-clean and vibrant. A model for Napa? Great mineral note on the end. So long and rewarding. One sip lasts a minute.  - Jancis Robinson

94/100 - The 2019 Kronos is rather minty and herbal, but it marries those traits with vibrant, almost floral cassis notes. Restrained by comparison to most other Napa Cabernets, its medium-bodied, with a streamlined shape on the palate that belies its intensity. Silky, long, and nearly weightless, it lingers easily on the finish.  - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate

97/100 - This snugly wrapped, agile, medium-bodied wine from old vines keeps a core of raspberries, violets, and black currants under a veil of silky tannins. The wine's excellent acid balance, tension, and depth will unleash more complexity as the tannins resolve over time. - Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast

97/100 - Aromas of blueberries, cherries, stones, cedar, sage, oregano and cloves. It's medium-full bodied with fragrant, fruity character. Polished and pure. Fantastic length and freshness. Hints of stones at the end. - James Suckling
