This is a textured and exotic blend of Marsanne and Roussanne. There is a delightful floral edge to the wine, expressive and packed with pear and citrus fruit aromas. It has a wonderful array of Asian spiced notes which complement the fruit brilliantly. A wonderful wine with roast chicken.
Domaine Aléofane is the solo project of winemaker Natacha Chave, sister of famed vigneron Yann Chave. Striking out on her own nearly two decades ago, Natacha has worked tirelessly with natural and organic methods to produce some of the Northern Rhône's most terroir-driven wines.
There is a delightful edge to this wine, with spicy notes dotting the palate alongside hints of jasmine. This blend also sings of candied citrus fruit, iris root, and cardamom.
