France > Burgundy > Côte de Beaune
On name alone, this is a bargain, but the quality more than lives up to its billing. This is a truly exceptional white Burgundy. With poor soil and a good aspect, Les Folatières produces a rich and opulent wine, yet one that is full of vigour. It is charming in its youth, with notes of yellow-fleshed fruit and toasted bread, but is honed over time to become more airy and floral with great intensity.

Elegant stone fruit and citrus flavours with notes of honey; plenty of creamy texture; zesty, vibrant finish.
The 'Folatieres' vineyard is considered the greatest of the Puligny-Montrachet; fatter and richer style.
Grapes are harvested by hand; wines are matured in barrels for 8-12 months, of which 25- 50% are new.
Will benefit from five to ten years ageing from release.
Pair with grilled fish.
