Les Enseignères is the most reputed climat producing Puligny-Montrachet village wines. It owes its popularity to its exceptional geographic situation and geology, similar to the neighbouring Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. It is planted amongst clay-limestone soils with an average vine age of 65 years.
Vigneron and winemaker Romaric Chavy began formal wine training in his native Burgundy aged just 12. Over the subsequent three decades, the prodigy has mastered his craft, using the lutte raisonee methodology to achieve his pursuit of ultimate terroir definition.
Reflective of Romaric’s self, the bottlings crafted at Domaine Chavy-Chouet are full of the same personality, sensitivity, and uncompromising character that define their creator.
