Harvested from vineyards planted in rich limestone soils which provide the perfect foundation for growing Zweigelt, the local red grape variety. Who ever knew that Zweigelt could taste this elegant! A Burgundian style on the palate, full-bodied but silky with an elegant structure. Extremely well balanced with a wonderful interplay of fruit and acidity, finely tuned spices, and very well integrated tannins.
Great intensity of fruit on the nose, with a touch of earthiness.
The balance of fruit and acidity is perfectly mastered, spices come trough with a silky texture.
Grapes are harvested from 60 years old vines.
Perfect for cheese and wine night (strong cheeses are best).
