This Spanish-inspired blend, highlights the elegance and potential of California Tempranillo, masterfully balancing rich spiced texture with a bright acidity.

Winemaker Notes:

Pretty Horses at its best - silky, spicy dark fruits and elegant, sexy umami. It is the ultimate balance of light and dark. This is the most gastronomic wine we make, and pairing with food unlocks its full potential. But even on its own it provides a luxurious textural experience that punches way above its price point. Like salt . . Pretty Horses goes with everything. I dare you to pair it with fish.
strawberry, roasted cacao, sweet almond, blueberry, orange zest, granite, silky, sexy umami and a playfully serious finish

in the vineyard
Sourced from multiple vineyards:

Rorick Heritage Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills AVA, renowned for its limestone-rich soils. Farmed organically at a remarkable elevation of 2000'
Shake Ridge Ranch in Amador County of the Sierra Foothills AVA, known for its rocky terrains and unique microclimates. Shake Ridge Vineyard is a labour of love for Ann Kraemer and her family. Once a prominent viticulturist in Napa, Ann turned to the mountains when it came time to plant her own property
Heron Lake Vineyard in Napa's Wild Horse Valley AVA, a cooler climate region due to its elevated position and marine influences. Heron Lake is farmed organically under the watchful eye of David Mahaffey who has managed the site since it was first planted in 1980. David was the first person to hire John in the wine business and has been a friend and mentor of his ever since
