Trousseau Gris is something of a viticultural rarity these days. We think that it is a variety that needs to be rediscovered, and what better way than by trying a bottle? This is a veritable high-wire act; light on its feet, wildly floral yet savory with visceral depth. An inebriating blend of summer melon, stone frit, white tea, and wet rock weave with finessed length and elegant palate presence.
17.5/20 - Pale orange-gold. Smells of unripe peaches, orange peel, and white flowers. Brisk flavours of orange peel, unripe peach, apricot pits, and wet pavement have a lovely faint salinity to them. The grapes are harvested from forty year old vines at Fanucchi Wood Road Vineyard in Russian River Valley.
Jolie Laide keeps it traditional and press the grapes by foot.
