Almost Chablis-like in style, this mineral-laced Bourgogne Blanc is sourced from a blend of sites in the Côte de Beaune, all planted atop limestone soils. It is produced by Domaine Patrick Javillier, a multi-generation winery located in the famed village of Meursault.
This is a distinguished wine on the nose, with a slight citrus aroma at the end.
In the palate, it is full and vigorous with a fresh minerality and very fine floral notes.
Persistent and very well balanced, this is truly an elegant Burgundy.
IN THE WINERY
This wine is fermented entirely by natural yeasts.
It is aged in oak cask, with the percentage of new oak variable depending on the character of the vintage.
After 16-18 months spent in cask, the wine is bottled with a minimum level of fining and filtration.
In the palate, it is full and vigorous with a fresh minerality and very fine floral notes.
