Kistler Vineyards is a small cult winery in Sonoma's Russian River Valley famed for producing some of the States' most extraordinary Chardonnay cuvées. Les Noisetiers - named for roasted hazelnuts - may be their most striking bottling, distinguished by a remarkable balance between richness and freshness with, of course, tangible notes of roasted hazelnut.
This wine has a beautiful, full color with an intense nose of fresh fruit (pear), hazelnut, vanilla, butter, and honey.
Full of structure in the mouth and silky soft, this bottling shows well-integrated wood in the long finish.
Try pairing with sole fried in butter with almonds, Bresse chicken with truffle, or lobster in a white wine sauce.

Les Noisetiers is a wine produced from a careful selection of Kistler’s plots across Sonoma Coast. It is, in Kistler’s words, ‘a study on the Sonoma terroir’ named after the exquisite, distinct nutty smells (noisette is the French for hazelnut) this wine is known to develop. It also has a delicious minerality imparted by the coastal influence: a cooling breeze that ultimately drives freshness.
